Automated Data Entry Process (ADEPT) – Winner of the 2017 Sacramento Region Innovation Awards for Medical Technology

The second annual Sacramento Region Innovation Awards luncheon was held on November 4, 2016. The criteria for the award includes that the innovation must be developed by a Sacramento region entity.

The Winner:

The winner for the medical health category for 2017 was Automated Data Entry Process Technology (ADEPT) by Applied Science, Inc. ADEPT, in the medical category, reduces the complexity of interacting with electronic medical records (EMR), enables the timely entry of patient point of care information, and gives caregivers more time to take care of patients.

The Finalists:

Honorable mention to the two other finalists: Raydient Oximetry and Kili Summit Corporation.

Raydiant Oximetry develops a better fetal monitor to improve outcomes for mothers and babies during childbirth. They were honored for their Device for Non-Invasive Fetal Oximetry.

Kili Summit Corporation was honored for their KILI Medical Drain Carrier, for a safe easy way to manage JP wound-care drains after mastectomy, cancer, cardiac & organ transplant surgeries.

MedStart established the Claire Pomeroy Awardin 2010 to recognize and celebrate outstanding achievement within our region for innovation in medical technology.

In 2016, as part of greater community involvement, MedStart formally pooled our efforts as the judging panel for the medical technology section of the Sacramento Region Innovation awards, which is hosted by Stoel Rives LLP with support from the Sacramento Business Journal and Moss Adams LLP.
